The U.S remarks over Pakistan's nuclear safety have sparked outrage in the country. In the reception of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Thursday, Oct 13, U.S president, Joe Biden calls Pakistan “one of the most dangerous nations which has nuclear weapons without any cohesion” he also glanced upon the Ukraine war, China, and local domestic issues.

He spoke about his terms with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Biden narrated,

“This is a guy (Xi Jinping) who understands what he wants but has an enormous, enormous array of problems. How do we handle
that? How do we handle that relative to what’s going on in Russia? And what I think is maybe one of the most dangerous nations in the world: Pakistan. Nuclear weapons without any cohesion.”

These controversial remarks about Pakistan’s nuclear safety have sparked outrage in the nation. Citizens are furious about the defamation attempt by the representative of a world superpower, the United States.

Moreover, the aggressive statement was said exactly on the first death anniversary of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, Pakistan’s Nuclear physicist, and metallurgical engineer. Khan was known to be a national hero but a renegade to the West including the U.S.

Despite providing pivotal logistical access to the U.S for a two-decade war in Afghanistan, Pakistan has faced allegations from the United States that it has aided the Taliban and has provided them safe heavens.
These accusations, however, have been repeatedly brushed off by Pakistan, and have worsened the relationship between the two countries.

In response to Biden’s statement, Pakistan’s foreign minister, Bilawal Zardari has summoned U.S ambassador Donald Blome for an official demarche, saying that he is “surprised” by the remarks.

“I believe this is exactly the sort of misunderstanding that is created when there is a lack of engagement”

He was talking at a press conference on Saturday in Karachi.

Many Pakistan officials, including the Prime minister, condemns and reject the remarks, clarifying that Pakistan has always been a responsible nuclear state who knows how to respect international laws and
practices.

In addition, U.S considers China as its pre-eminent global competitor and had given multiple warnings about the pak-china close partnership program, CPEC. However, these warnings have not been taken into account by Pakistan.

Furthermore, it is not worthless to say that despite having multiple disputes and discrepancies among the nations, a developed nation should be aware of the fact that any kind of official statement about a
struggling and third-world nations impacts and degrade or dignifies its improvisation and its Global ranking, importance, and value.

How do you guys feel about that?
